Did you know that the pitch of a propeller can be modified? This process – half art form, half science – provides us some flexibility for correcting performance problems or even re-using propellers with different engines and gears after repowering. In this course, we will discuss how to identify a required pitch change, the practical limitations for repitching a propeller blade, and the physical geometric changes that occur during a propeller repitching. This certificate course is appropriate for propeller repair shops, propulsion equipment vendors, naval architects, and boat builders.
Course duration: 30 minutes
This course has been endorsed by the Royal Institution of Naval Architects (RINA) for the completion of Continuing Professional Development (CPD) hours.
